ThankYou

As many of you know, in March 2010 aged just 14, I was diagnosed with Stage IVB Hodgkins Lymphoma. On the 12th October 2010 I received the amazing news that I was cancer free.

The following months should have been spent happy as anything to be alive. But they weren't. I was extremely angry and depressed. The world seemed unfair and I couldn't comprend 'Why me?'

After some amazing support at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, I was taught a way of dealing with all the negatives and turning them into positives. This is where most of my fundraising ideas have come from. I realised that I had survived cancer but I hadn't started living.

In October 2015, I will be celebrating the incredible five years cancer free mark. In the oncology world this is when you are classed as an official 'survivor' because the chance of the cancer coming back is so minimal. I then began talks with my parents and decided that I wanted to take on 12 tasks (one for each month) that celebrated the fact I not only survived but I am also living.
